On June 13th, we lost a beloved member of our community, Shirley Lee (Day) Howat. Shirley was born on July 18, 1931, and lived a life full of love, dedication, and commitment to her family and community. She graduated from Poly High School in 1949 and went on to be a caring mother, a devoted daughter, a loving wife, and a beloved friend to many.

Honoring Shirley’s Legacy

Shirley is survived by her children Jim Howat (Linda) and Kathleen Howat, her mother Dorothy McCutchen, and two grandsons. Shirley’s life touched the hearts of many and will forever be remembered, cherished, and celebrated. Her impact on her community is immeasurable, and she will be missed by all.
